Chrome: "This extension is no longer supported" and it got disabled — a Mac workaround

  1. Update Chrome to the latest version, making sure it is v138.0.7204.101 or newer

  2. Set this flag to Enabled

chrome://flags/#temporary-unexpire-flags-m137

  1. Restart the browser so the change takes effect

  2. Set all of the following to Disabled

chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-warning

chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-disabled

chrome://flags/#extension-manifest-v2-deprecation-unsupported

  1. Set the following to Enabled. Note: this is the parameter for solution two; it is worth enabling while you are here, but everything still works without it

chrome://flags/#allow-legacy-mv2-extensions
